Who's Exempt
Religious institutions
Educational institutions
Hospitals
Organizations raising less than $25,000 annually (within 30-day threshold)
Other organizations approved for exemption via Form BCO-9
*When to Register:
BEFORE any compensated person solicits on behalf of organization, OR
WITHIN 30 days of receiving more than $25,000 in gross contributions (for organizations without compensated solicitors)
*Form: BCO-10 - Charitable Organization Registration Statement
*Renewal: Annual registration required by November 15 (or 15th of 11th month following fiscal year end)
*Fee: $15-$250 range based on contribution levels
